Thing 3

Well, it's easy to see that I have been putting off blogging for the entire 10 weeks. I've managed to complete the 23 Things. So, how does writing on the Internet, knowing anyone could read it, change how I write or feel about writing? Hmmm.. I have done some blogging in the past surrounding trips out of the country. I see them as record keeping/journaling for my own benefit. I have shared some with family, but don't have a desire to open them to others. I'm not a big writer of journals -- try as I might, I can't wrap my head around it. I never reread journal entries. Once my reflections are on paper, I can throw them out. It's the way that I work. As for a blog page, I would see it as a resource page for colleagues -- a place to post materials and tech tips. I've been doing that through Moodle within the district. It's been helpful to staff. It's also been a help to me because I can direct them to a place where they can find the information they need. Like anything else, it takes time to keep things up-to-date, but I find it to be worthwhile.
